N Sync Bio and Tidbits

Did you ever wonder how N Sync got together? Chris has the inside scoop:
Well, it all started with me. I used to sing in coffee shops, and I decided to take it seriously and do this as a living. So, I called up a couple of my friends, who are these guys that you see right here, because these are the guys that took it seriously. I called Justin. Justin and JC worked on the Mickey Mouse Club together, that's how they knew each other. I worked with Joey at Universal Studios. And we called a vocal coach, and he recommended Lance.
Do you know how N Sync got their name? It was suggested by Justin's mom. The boys liked it because it really represented the fact that they use lots of harmonies, so their voices are in synch. Did you also know that if you take the last letter of each member's first name (with the exception of Lance who uses his nickname Lansten) you get N Sync? Here's how it works:

N Sync aren't the only pranksters in the biz. All Saints can be sneaky too. Some time ago, All Saints and N Sync were staying at the same hotel. JC and Justin's rooms were under Shaznay and Mel's (of All Saints) room. The girls decided to have some fun with the guys. Here's what Mel had to say about it. "The last time I made a prank call, me and Shaznay were on the Smash Hits Tour and two guys from *N Sync - JC and Justin - were downstairs from us. And they're the kings of prank calls cause they do the best voices. We were making prank calls to their room all night - it was hilarious!" Shaznay also had this to add, "We started jumping up and down on our bed, making it bang on the floor. The guys didn't get to sleep all night!"
Did you know that the *N Sync *N Concert special almost didn't happen? The concert special was first offered to the Backstreet Boys. However, the BSB turned it down, so the job was given to *N Sync. N Sync's CD jumped to number 2 on the charts the week it aired beating the BSB who were at number 4. Besides that, Janet Jackson caught the special on tv and invited the boys to tour with her. I'd bet that made Justin's day. J
*N Sync always do basically the same thing before the show. Here's Justin and JC's input as to what they do.
We always pray before a show. We pray in the dressing room. We get all the crew together and pray…I say a prayer that we do a good show and we're safe. Then we get into a huddle and pump each other up before we go on stage. When we're on tour, we usually do a hackey sack and then we give a prayer and a hug to everyone in our circle. We focus before we hit the stage.
